Kersh

http://veehd.com/video/4554120_S-P-Y-S-1974-Irvin-Kershner

Without a doubt he made the best Star Wars film , wish he did a few more, perhaps the prequels would have been  a bit more profound ,No doubt Irving will be remembered most for Empire but here are two of his other films (A kind of Sequel to M*A*S*H and a Sequel to A Man Called Horse (George wasn't the first guy to call on his services to direct  follow ups)
Wish all these cool guys would stop dying that's two heroes dead in a space of  48 hours :(

Reilly Ace of Spies- Part 2

Here's  a pic of the real Sidney Riley , so what you see in these videos were based upon a truth , second episode features his involvement in the storming of Port Arthur the opening act of the Japanese /Russo war which in turn lead to the first Russian Revolution .Not sure why they cast the Poirot guy as a Chinese agent (sure he can act , but not excatly my first choice for someone who's meant to be Asian)
Here's a few scenes from a Japanese movie that depict The events at Port Arthur . I think the film is called "203  Kochi" or possibly just "Port Arthur" if I can find a version with English subtitles I'll upload it here as The subject interests me as I hope to write and draw a comic (starting from The Boxer Rebellion going through the 1900's  ) I'm going to call it 1900AD (as a tribute to 2000ad .

It's strange to hear such personal songs interpreted by others , nobody can do it quite like Nick  though.

Reilly Ace of Spies- Part 1

Kind of like an Edwardian 007, I'm in the process of writing a story very much in flavour of these shows seeing as more information has come to light about the early SIS (Secret Intellegence Service) in fact the subject of the next episode Port Arthur was very much in my mind for my story but the rotters beat me to it lol.. I'll be serialising this through the next few weeks. Look out for Sallah and Rumpole also starring Sam Neill as Reilly (who from that point on seems to have starred in every movie under the sun lol)

Tinker ,Tailor, Soldier, Spy -Part 1

TV Spy Drama I never got to see as a nipper as it was on after the 9 oclock  watershed, but I've always been curious to see , has an excellent cast Alec Guinness as George Smiley (soon to be played Gary Oldman in a motion picture version and Ian Richardson (whose performances  I enjoyed in Private Schultz  so his role should be good as story unravels )

Casino Royale (1954)

The very first onscreen appearence of James(or rather in this case Jimmy) Bond , who is American for some reason in this teleplay Barry Nelson stars as JB, also starring my fave slimeball specialist Mr Peter Lorre as Le Chiffre.
First in a week (perhaps a bit longer as I hope to serialise a few videos I have planned for these posts ) of Secret Agent posts

Anzacs Part 4

I hope this works ... 3 episodes were availiable on youtube , but it ended halfway through the story so I couldn't just leave it hanging like this
