New York Street gang film set in the late 50's... title reminded me of Link Wray should of used his music really (Every film about this subject should have his music on the soundtrack)

Is there anybody that typifies all the great things about America more than Link Wray ? Especially for the 4th of July a post all about him (still feel I've left out some major tunes here maybe I'll do another post someday)
Glad I got to see Link in the 90's he played a kickass show (twice as he repeated his whole set in the encore)

Switchblade Flicks 1"Can You Dig it?"

I finally picked up a copy of The Warriors on ps2 yesterday , six years after it was released , as I've heard some very good things about the game .That should  fill in the void whilst waiting for the next GTA .. I may feature a few more gang related flicks here over the week.
From what I read Rockstar were going to make a game about Mods and Rockers sadly the game was cancelled (That would of been something different )The ultimate gang fight game though would have to be A Clockwork Orange that would seriously rock my world.

GTA..?

Waiting for the next Grand Theft Auto game is like been 7 all over again and waiting for the next installment of the Star Wars saga , unlike the COD francise they give nothing away monthes before game comes out.
I'm sure whatevers in the pipeline will be mind blowing as ever , so far we have no idea where the setting will be (theres speculation that it will be San Andreas again (which is based on Los Angeles and hopefully San Francisco and Las Vegas will be also be featured..but maybe thats wishing for too much)Theres also talk of Vice City reappearing (Miami)and talk of London which I doubt some what ..or maybe a brand new city or perhaps Carcer City(From Manhunt which is based on a variety of Rust belt cities) whichever City it will appear in it's bound to be on the top of my shopping list.
I'll use this post to explore what I'd like to see within the next GTA .. it would be cool if any of this actually appears in the next game I'll go through each city and speculate.

San Andreas-
1.Natural disaters -perhaps an earthquake towards the end of the story , seeing as the actual city is named after San Andreas which I associate with The San Andreas Fault, this too would work for San Fierro(San Francisco)
2. Animals- There's a distinct lack of wildlife (apart from the odd bird or fish in these games ) would be great to mount a horse if trapped out in wilderness Red Dead style (I'm hoping that it won't just be South Central L.A but the whole original San Andreas map which was much like a combination of Nevada and Frisco with lots of midtowns thrown in for good measure .. rattlesnakes would be cool and I read on a forum yesterday and someone suggested sharks which is a great idea .
3. More gang warfare , be it Blood and Crips style or Angels of Death VS another biker gang , maybe it could start off small as story develops from knifes and chains to firearms as story progresses .Trying to gain territory gave the game plenty of replay ability.
4. Alternate pathes you can take in the story(This was a feature in GTA4 so there were two endings (that's why I'm playing the whole thing again to get to that moment ) but what if you spread these moments throughout the game sending the player in different directions and different alternate missions you are bound to want to replay the game again over and over to see where these other pathes lay.. they kind of tinkered with it in GTA4 but to not really to excess .
5.More communication and interaction with the player to the pedestrians and bystanders you could talk to peds in the original San Andreas but not so much in GTA4.
6. You actually go to jail when you are busted - you can use prison to make contacts with other prisoners once you get out (be it by escaping or good behaviour..(fat chance lol)that might trigger off more missions later in the game serving time may pay off (as well as that you could make use of the gym)
7. Customization -the self customization in San Andreas was a lot of fun , but highly unrealistic , for example I'd go to the hairdressers one day and shave all my hair off , then get into trouble with cops and revisit hairdressers and suddenly sprout an afro , perhaps you could change over time for example by not shaving or cutting hair(i'm not saying over real time but over a matter of days )The route GTA 4 was going was more realistic so that would make sense.
8. More Rural areas (it was nice to escape into the country -it really made the game different)Bring back the Combine Harvester!!(maybe add the Wurzels to soundtrack to really add to the surrealness)
9. More Planes , Helicopters and some dogfighting would be nice..would be cool to have an actual space shuttle in game (but maybe thats getting seriously far fetched )
10. The return of C.J or other characters from the series (theres talk that the guy who did C.J'S voice may be returning I hope this is the case .. gives a sense of history (and I don't care for this idea that GTA IV is meant to be set in another universe )I dig the history of these characters and they should intertwine.
11.Action replay from other angles of mission , the cinematic button is tricky to control sometimes I would love to watch a car chase or a gun battle from other views.. perhaps it could be caught on a speedcam or cctv .. you can steal the footage and watch it at your pad.
12.More Monster Trucks please...
Vice City
1. The Everglades -it makes perfect sense .. as well as Alligators and other wildlife .
2.Watersking .
3.A Little Cuba(another awesome idea I read on a forum)
4. The Return of Love Fist
5.Hurricane (again much like the earthquake should appear towards end of the game -would destroy buildings and change landscape)
6.Military Exercises out at sea .. a few Battleships, Aircraft Carriers and perhaps a Nuclear Submarine
7.Again bring back Tommy , perhaps he's a godfather who sends you on missions if story is set in present day.
8.A gang war between Mitch Bakers gang and the Angels of Death or The Lost .
9.Kent Paul given his own radio station.
10.Drug Sniffing dogs .
11. You see news footage of any Major crimes you committed on the T.V
12. And this applies to any forthcoming GTA game ..bring back the Riot Cheat
13. If  any of the new games go back to the 1980's it might be cool to play as a young Phil Bell (seeing as he's one of the few mobsters in GTAIV  who's 4real )

One thing for sure the protagonist is bound to be different than before seeing as Niko is a world away from C.J ..Rockstar North aren't in the habit of repeating themselves (but if it's C.J or Tommy again I won't shed no tears ) should be interesting to see the trailer whenever that comes out .. with technology moving so fast , if you mixup the elements of Red Dead Redemption L.A Noire and then place them within a GTA City should be a fascinating experience .
