The Button Man

John Wagner and Arthur Ransons The Button Man a story set 1 second into the future (a neat  way for 2000ad at the time to feature a contemporary adventure within it's pages ) which has been considered for a motion picture for a while now , there was a rumor recently that Leonardo De Capio was muted to play Harry , I'd rather if it stuck to the original story (which starts off in England )Harry Exton  always reminded me of Micheal Caine in Get Carter , so really I think they'd need to cast someone who'd  be able to pull off that type of englishness , I'd rather they didn't relocate  the story to America it would ruin it's uniqueness (plus i still have horrible memories of Constantine (The Hellblazer Movie ..John's a Liverpudian wtf was he in that  movie?)
If the film is sucessful enough to feature a sequel then you can move it to the States as that's where most of the second book is set . Anyhows rant over If your a fan of comics and a fan of the hitman genre I suggest you hunt all four books down on Amazon. Stellar  storytelling (as you'd expect from Dredd creator  Wagner ) and amazingly detailed artwork from Arthur Ranson .
