You may know David Thewls from Harry Potter and other films but don't expect anything like that in this movie.. I was searching for Resurrected a film about The Falklands War but found possibly his best performance , also starring Katrin Cartlidge,Ewen Bremner and Gina McKee. Like I said before nothing like Harry Potter therefore for a more mature audience.
What with reports in the news about oil been drilled off the Falkland Isles(always thought there was something important there that was kept secret even when I was 9 years old) and also the story lines that are coming up in Ashes to Ashes set against the backdrop of the events of the war I'll be featuring a few Falklands/Malvinas linked posts. Here's something I've never seen before from the Argentine Conscripts perspective I think it brings home the message that conflict is futile, If there are issues to be solved about the Islands then it should be by democratic means.
There are few things in this life that truly blow your mind! When I first purchased GTA3 one of the first games I ever played I was totally surpised at the freedom and the chaos it brings , lets just say its one of the few times I actually bought something and it was more than worth the money(the fact the story is so long was cool too)Yeah I know it's just a computer game but what a game!!
So seeing as my blog here has taken on a 80's type theme (for a short while) I figured hell why not serialize Vice City or rather its cutscenes ..(I'll follow it up when complete with Vice City Stories and so forth)
One of my fave directors Abel Ferrara's movie Fear City which I found last night on youtube ..first film Billy Dee Williams starred in after Jedi , also starring Melanie Griffith ,Tom Berenger and Micheal V Gazzo ("the pop goes the weasle "guy in the Godfather part 2.. I figure Ferrara would make the perfect director for Grand Theft Auto Vice City if that was ever was considered to made into a film (..more of which later.).film contains a fair bit of nudity violence and bad language so you have been warned
OK I won't make a habit of this..putting up lectures on this blog , but Dennis is always worth listening too, I wonder what he'd make of the Internet if he was alive today
